Teen and Tween Comics Workshop


Nicholson Memorial Library System - Central Library

Teens and tweens can express their creativity and utilize their STEAM art skills by attending a cartooning workshop at Garland’s Central Library.

The comics workshop, led by graphic novelist Andy Hirsch of the Science Comics and Garfield series, will be held on Friday, June 22 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Mr. Hirsch will discuss the creation of comics and help each participant make their own cartoon. Registration is required to attend the workshop, which is open to participants ages 10 through 17. Registration begins Friday, June 8.

The Central Library is located at 625 Austin St., in Downtown Garland. Due to ongoing construction, event locations are subject to change.
