Hot off the heels of the major success of his stage play, Watch Night: A Freedom’s Eve Story, T.K. Henderson and Greg Ellis — the former Dallas Cowboys star turned playwright and director — have written the follow-up play, Juneteenth. Through dialogue and music, with modern day scenes, and flashbacks to 1865, Juneteenth recreates the pivotal story of slavery in the state of Texas, and how the slaves were finally granted their freedom. Juneteenth is presented by the Irving Black Arts Council.
General admission tickets are $30, with a limited number of VIP tickets priced at $40. VIP tickets offer early back stage access, preferred seating and photos with Greg Ellis after the show.
