The Little Trio in Concert!

Steinway Hall - Fort Worth

On Saturday, April 28th at 7pm, come out to Steinway Hall on Camp Bowie Blvd. to enjoy an exciting show from Fort Worth's own The Little Trio! Soprano Allison Stanford, clarinetist Pinky Simmons, and pianist Cheryl Taylor Lemmons join forces with special guest drummer Ann MacMillan to present a concert that ranges from selections by Italian "Bel Canto" composer Bellini to the Texas swing classic "Big Ball's in Cowtown"! Admission is free, but cash, check, or credit card donations will be accepted. All donations will go toward the recording of The Little Trio's first EP album!

The Little Trio does not believe in "Outside the box." Instead they live by the motto "There is no box, what is this box you speak of?" Be prepared to get involved, create, innovate, and by the time you leave become a member of the ensemble. There is something for everyone, from impromptu dances by the audience as the Trio performs a flowing waltz, to spontaneous compositions created from a phrase shared by the audience. The Little Trio thrives on spontaneity, using costume changes, diverse repertoire, and even sections where the audience can just converse and ask the ensemble questions. One minute the ensemble is performing a classical standard, and the next minute you will hear Romberg and Hammerstein's "When I Grow too Old to Dream," inspired by the rendition of Nelson Eddy. This is just the beginning, so be careful because you just never know where you might end up!
