Talking History: When the World Seemed New: George H. W. Bush and the End of the Cold War

Learn how President George H. W. Bush responded to one of the most critical turning points in modern history, the end of the Cold War, with Dr. Jeffrey Engel, of Southern Methodist University. Free; no registration Ages 16+; younger children welcome with an adult
Dr. Engel will focus on how President Bush faced the challenges of a changing world order in the late 1980s, and how his leadership shaped a post-Cold War world.

Dr. Engel is the author of the book “When the World Seemed New: George H.W. Bush and the End of the Cold War” and is the director of the Center for Presidential History at SMU.
