Children of all ages can improve their STEAM science, art, and engineering skills at the Nicholson Memorial Library System’s Star Wars event, May the Fourth be With You. The event kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 4, at the North Garland Branch Library.
May the Fourth be with You celebrates Star Wars Day, created by fans of the George Lucas film series. Star Wars Day is observed annually on May 4, inspiring the pun, “May the Fourth be with You.”
Attendees at the event may create Star Wars origami, design a Lego® Star Fighter Station, build an R2D2 droid, fashion a light saber, and make starry slime.
No registration is required to attend this free event. Dressing in themed costumes is encouraged but not required. The North Garland Branch Library is located at 4845 N. Garland Ave., at Apollo Rd.
