The Transformation Project Residency Festival

W.H. Adamson High School

The performance will serve as an exploration of personal growth and change, exploring topics of social justice, ethnic barriers, morality, and freedom. Over 300 teen dancers will come together to discuss some of the most challenging issues facing themselves and their peers, and how the arts have given them a creative outlet. With everything happening in our country, these conversations are more relevant than ever before.

In addition to giving these students a safe and creative outlet, The Transformation Project gives them a platform to have a voice. Through this process, our participants are learning about different communities and similar struggles other teens are facing. As a result, they are becoming more empathetic members of society. This experience will spur further conversations and help educate our youth to become catalysts for change. The ultimate goal is to provide a broader awareness of the problems they face in their homes, schools, and communities and to give them the tools to face these problems in a positive manner.

This performance will take place April 30, 2018 at W. H. Adamson High School. The facility will open at 6:00pm and the show will begin at 6:15pm.
