A modern take on Texas folk
When describing Jamie Lin Wilson’s voice, two aspects come to mind: a honeyed tenor twang perfect for modern folk music and a poignant, poetic, down-to-earth point of view that she brings to her songwriting. A talented artist with restless creativity, Jamie broke into the Texas country/folk scene as one of the co-lead vocalists of the Gougers before the band gradually gave way to not only Jamie’s solo work, but also higher profile musical adventures with The Trishas, an all-female singer/songwriter group who toured through some of the best venues in Texas and the nation. Scoring one of the best albums of 2012 with High, Wide & Handsome, The Trishas lit up the genre for a few years while always leaving Jamie room for solo gigs, guest spots on more than a dozen albums and song swaps with like-minded artists all over Texas and beyond. Multiple approaches, countless gigs, several years and nearly a million miles into what promises to be a grand career, Jamie not only runs with a good crowd, she never fails to stand out.

Concerts are free and family-friendly. The Levitt Pavilion is located at 100 W. Abram St. in Founders Plaza on the corner of Abram and Center streets. For directions and parking, please see Directions & Parking. The Levitt is an open-lawn seating, outdoor concert venue. Visitors should bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
