Aafke Brouwer, who earned degrees from the Academy of Art Minerva in The Netherlands and the Royal Academy of Arts in London, will be sketching four-legged attendees and their owners at the Easter "Bone" Hunt Fundraiser Saturday, March 24, at Exposition Park in Deep Ellum, which features 200+ custom treats and pet games including Bobbing for Tennis Balls, Mutt Walk & Rubber Ducky Challenge. Brouwer moved to Dallas in 2013 after studying with Dutch leaders in figurative art such as Diederik Kraaijpoel, Matthijs Röling and Wout Muller. Brouwer is donating her talents to the Easter pet event and exhibiting a few of her works, which often feature horses and dogs. The event benefits the Spay Neuter Network (https://spayneuternet.org/), a nonprofit that provides free- and low-cost spaying and neutering throughout DFW.
