Three women working in an immigration detention center struggle with meeting the needs of detainees, adhering to company policies, and battling their own personal demons. The company’s brochures depict a humane and comfortable facility. Inside these walls everyone is an enemy, even their inner conscious. Empathy is often seen as a sign of weakness and insubordination. “Cell” takes us on a journey of self-discovery and preservation.
When do “we” turn into “them”?
When does company policy trump moral obligation?
"CELL" is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
