Santa Fe Days in the Park

Sandy Lake Amusement Park

$2 general admission to the park. Santa Fe Days activities are free. All amusements are extra.

SANTA FE DAYS IN THE PARK provides our organization, the INDIGENOUS INSTITUTE OF THE AMERICAS, with the opportunity to bring our purpose, mission and vision together at our 14th annual event, March 17 & 18, 2018 in Carrollton, TX, just a few miles north of Dallas, TX.

SANTA FE DAYS is a fun, family-friendly community event. Our goal is to bring our Native American Indian culture to the general public. We want to share our art, unique knowledge, life ways, history and worldviews. Our event is a living history lesson, intended to inform our visitors more about our heritage and traditions.

Santa Fe Days is the only ALL NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN ARTS event in North Texas. Every artist brings authentic, one of a kind, handmade/handcrafted items to our North Texas community. Most of our artists meet the stringent standards required to have a booth at the famous Southwest Indian Art Market in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The artists at Santa Fe Days bring skills and craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation.

So we say, “SAVE A PLANE TICKET”!

SPEND YOUR MONEY ON AUTHENTIC NATIVE ART IN THE HEART OF NORTH TEXAS EVENT!”

Santa Fe Days is also an opportunity for our brothers and sisters from the local and regional Native communities to bring their children to an event that focuses on spreading pride and knowledge, a place where they can bring their non-native friends to enjoy knowledge, activities and games associated with our culture.

Park Gates open at 10 a.m. with the sound of our Aztec dancers honoring our ancestors. Opening ceremony, Saturday, March 17, 2018, starts at 10:45 a.m. at the Santa Fe Days Entertainment Stage. Our Color Guard, Renegade Nation, asks everyone to join us in honoring one of the founders of the Navajo Code Talkers Association and highly decorated Vietnam Veteran.  All Veterans, Active-Duty service members, Color Guards and Tribal flags are invited to join us for this beautiful observance of our culture’s love for this country.
