Richard McLure is a versatile acoustic and electric guitar player who has been active on the North Texas music scene since 1992. His live repertoire is a diverse mix of jazz, rock, blues, flamenco, and pop music.
He earned a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from UNT and served as an adjunct teacher in Jazz Studies there for 13 years. He currently teaches Improvisation, Music Theory and Applied Guitar at Cedar Valley College.
McLure has extensive experience playing session recordings and has been a member of numerous bands such as Café Noir, the Drew Phelps Group, the Wayne Delano Quartet, Top, and his own group Richard Mc Lure Trio. He is currently a member of the Lyles West Quartet
