Susan Reno Discusses Sarah Horton Cockrell,  6 - 7:45pm at the Skillman Southwestern Branch Library, 5707 Skillman St., Dallas, 75206.  Susan Reno is a member of National Society Daughters of American Revolution and current secretary in the Sarah Cockrell Chapter. Sarah Horton Cockrell (1819-1892) was a Texas business woman known for her contributions to the economic and infrastructural development of Dallas.  She is reported to have owned one quarter of downtown Dallas in the late 1800s and to have been one of Texas’ first millionaires.
