Children of all ages and their families may learn to dance like Disney’s Moana at Luau at the Library this Spring Break. Luau at the Library takes place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 at the Central Library.
The luau will feature a dancer from the Grace Hula Dance company dressed like Moana. The dancer will give a thirty-minute demonstration of the art of hula dancing, and then the movie Moana will be shown.
Moana is a full-length animated, children’s movie released in 2016. In the film, the title character sets out on a journey across the Pacific Ocean to rid her island of a terrible curse. The movie is rated PG. The first 48 children to arrive at the event will receive a free lei.
