Dallas community organizations working on housing justice will work with local creatives on strategies for artist involvement with existing efforts. The emphasis will be on artists integrating into the on-going organizing activities of Dallas community groups that have been doing housing justice work for years.
Sandy Rollins, founder and Executive Director of Texas Tenants Union along with Betty Yu, co-founder Chinatown Art Brigade in New York City, will join CitySquare staff and local artists in a discussion on how creatives can be a part of the solution rather than the problem in the gentrification equation.
