February 19th – February 23rd, 2018 – The Mountain View College Student Art Club will host a benefit art auction to aid in the recovery efforts for the hurricane survivors of Puerto Rico.
Professional artists from across the DFW area have contributed works of art to this auction. Art featured in the auction vary in media and include ceramics, photography, drawing, painting and sculpture. The works up for bid will be exhibited in the Kiva Gallery space at Mountain View College from February 19th to February 23rd. The silent live auction will occur February 23rd, Friday, from 10 am to 1 pm.
Some artists included in the auction are Alvaro Arroliga, Brennen Bechtol, Mary Becker, Sara Cardona, Brett Dyer, Art Garcia, Tina Medina, James Olney, Patricia Rodriguez, Giraud Polite, Shawn Samuell, and Alison Starr.
The MVC Student Art Club is sponsored by professor of art, Cristina Medina, and strives to provide artistic opportunities for all students on campus while also contributing to the surrounding community and beyond.
