Jane Austen Society Winter Meeting

Join us for the 2018 Winter Meeting, February 25th, and hear nationally-known Regency fashion expert, Baronda Bradley Fladager share interesting, fun and little-known facts about the intricacies of Regency fashion.

Baronda has made researching fashion recreations of the Regency period her niche, frequently being referenced in national/international books, magazines and articles.  Her creative skills include cottage button-making, lace restoration, millinery techniques, hand-sewing, singing, English country dancing and watercolor painting.  Her Regency wardrobe is so extensive and she is so meticulous that when planning her ten-gown wardrobe for the Society's Annual General Meeting each year, her preparations are done in Excel spreadsheet format.  An interesting and fun afternoon, and you will probably have an opportunity to see some of her extensive wardrobe during her presentation.

We also welcome Ester E. Moon who will be presenting her paper, "Anne's Afterlife: Austen's Rules for Getting a Good Ending, Even After You Mess It Up" and Leta Sundet who will be presenting her paper, "I Cannot Get Out: The Self-Imposed Afterlife of Maria Bertram."
