2018 Old Town Keller Rotating Sculpture Program

Keller Public Arts Program

The Keller Public Arts Board is seeking entries from Texas artists for the City’s 2018 Old Town Keller Rotating Sculpture Program. A $1,250 honorarium shall be awarded for each of six pieces for the installation, exhibition and removal of their work for a two-year period. One Best in Show winner shall be awarded an additional $500. The program will feature outdoor sculptures in the recently updated Old Town Keller area, home to an eclectic blend of restaurants and businesses that, in combination with recent public improvements, attract a variety of visitors and provides great exposure for art in the area.

The Public Arts Board will select six sculptures for a two-year exhibit and will partner with the Keller Public Arts Society (KPAS) to host its second annual Keller Art Walk, an art and music festival on Saturday, November 10, 2018. The selected sculptures shall be for sale for the duration of the exhibit with a 25% commission collected by the City of Keller.

All sculptures must be ready for installation by June 1, 2018, be “family appropriate” and pose no risk to public safety. Sculptures must be made of materials that can withstand the harsh Texas weather and require no maintenance by the City of Keller.

All sculpture entrees must be made through CaFE, www.callforentry.org.
