The Reading Room will feature the work of Houston based multimedia artist Iva Kinnaird in A Two Page Paper on Impasse from February 17 through March 24. The exhibition will explore the labor, anxiety, reaction and unintended comedy involved in the feedback loop of making art. Reception for the artist Saturday, February 17 from 6 to 9 pm.
Kinnaird received a BFA from the University of Texas at Austin and currently lives and works in Houston. Her work has been shown at Lawndale Art Center, Art League and Performance Art Houston as well as Texas Woman's University/Denton and 500 X Gallery/Dallas. In 2014 Kinnaird received the Clare Hart De Golyer Memorial Fund award from the Dallas Museum of Art.
