[Art Exhibition]Thus, We Scatter, as We Go by Nathan Porterfield

Arts Fort Worth

Fort Worth Community Arts Center is proud to present, Thus, We Scatter, as We Go by Nathan Porterfield. The exhibition date is March 2, 2018-March 29, 2018, from 9AM-5PM. The closing reception will be on our Spring Gallery Night, March 24, 2018, from 6PM-9PM.

Nathan Porterfield’s current work involves individual identity in current culture, in reference to American history. Using accessible, common materials, he creates a confluence of patterns to imply the intersection of countless sensibilities and convictions. The imagery has developed recently into portraits, or sorts, in which the subjects (Units of Resistance) express their perspectives.

Nathan’s works are an homage to those, oppressed and repressed who have stood for change and therein been the backbone of progress. His works are portraits of personal individuality, yet homogeneous spirit.

Thus, We Scatter, as We Go is a survey of his production from 2015 and 2016, with a concentration on alternative materials and exploring the subtleties of evolving society.
