Texas Ballet Theater Presents Mozart Requiem and Martinů Pieces

Bass Performance Hall

Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) will present a mixed repertoire by TBT artistic director, Ben Stevenson. Stevenson will re-stage his moving Mozart Requiem together with his new ballet, Martinů Pieces, March 29-31 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mozart Requiem was last performed in 2013. Featuring an all-male cast, the ballet is a tribute to the unbreakable bond among soldiers and their selfless sacrifice. This moving work is set to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s infamous Requiem and will be accompanied live by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

Stevenson’s world premiere, Martinů Pieces, is a three-section work inspired by the music of Bohuslav Martinů. The second work in this piece is a pas de deux influenced by the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey and Stevenson’s close ties with the city of Houston. Martinů Pieces will be accompanied by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
