Music lovers are sure to enjoy an encounter with masterworks by Franz Schubert and Richard Strauss performed by Mount Vernon Music’s Orchard Ensemble on Monday, January 29 at 7:30 pm in UT Arlington’s Irons Recital Hall. Thanks to its unique instrumentation and references in popular culture, Schubert’s Trout Quintet remains fresh and relevant two centuries after it was written. It will share billing with the emotionally charged Quintet in C minor by Richard Strauss. Pianist Evan Mitchell will be joined by Mark Miller, violin; Ute Miller, viola; Zachary Mansell, cello; Jack Unzicker, double bass.
