Dallas-based literary nonprofit WordSpace is thrilled to announce Dallas Lit Hop.
Dallas Lit Hop kicks off on Saturday, April 7 at Deep Ellum Art Co. with a party that includes spoken word, theatrical, and musical performers. On Sunday, April 29, best-selling author Walter Mosley takes the stage at The Kessler Theater. Throughout the month there will be parties, performances, readings, film programs, kids’ workshops, and panels held in venues across Dallas.
For the past two years, WordSpace has produced the Deep Ellum Lit Hop, a daylong event of readings and performances in one of our favorite Dallas neighborhoods,” said WordSpace board president Charles Dee Mitchell. “For 2018, we decided it is time to go bigger. Events will feature old friends and new collaborators at familiar venues and exciting new spaces.”
To end Lit Hop with a bang, one of the most versatile and admired writers in America today will be presented during a special event on Sunday, April 29 at The Kessler Theater starting at 8 p.m. Author of more than 43 critically acclaimed books and 2016 Grand Master of the Mystery Writers of America, Walter Mosley’s work ranges from literary fiction, science fiction, political monographs and a young adult novel to live, performative social commentary.
