At this event we seek to make intergenerational connections between the Black Power Movement of 50 years ago and the current BlackLivesMatter Movement. We'll be having a special performance by Bilal Sunni-Ali and Dr. Abiodun Oyowele(member of the legendary Last Poets). We'll have a presentation by UT Austin professor and CNN contributor Dr. Peniel Josephabout his book "Stokely: A Life". We'll also be having a panel discussion featuring activists involved in the Black Power Movement and BlackLivesMatter movements.
There'll be Children's Activities, Spoken Word,African Art, LIVEDRUMMING and so much more!
