The Imani Winds, featuring musicians of African-American and Latin American heritage, will be joined by Jon Nakamatsu, who has been invited back to DFW with astounding regularity ever since he won the Van Cliburn Competition in 1997. The Imani Winds have built an impressive record of building bridges between European, American, African, and Latin American musical traditions. Their acclaim includes having won two Grammy awards.
