The Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery proudly announces new collaborative exhibition “site_midnight_sun>>orangegreengrey” by the dynamic duo Nick Bontrager & Adam Fung, a.k.a the Drone Beuys. The exhibition runs until Jan. 21, 2018.
An artist talk and reception is being held on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, 5 p.m., in the Art History Auditorium. A reception will follow directly in the gallery.
The exhibition “site_midnight_sun>>orangegreengrey” takes its inspiration from the unique color palette created by the light phenomena and unique landscapes of Iceland. The two artists recently completed an artist residency at Herhusid, arriving on the first day of the Midnight Sun. Experiencing twenty-four hours of daylight for nearly the entire duration of their three-week stay allowed the artists seemingly endless opportunity for exploration and study of the landscape.
The Drone Beuys, operate at the intersection of art, science, and technology and often engage with unfamiliar environments to produce unexpected results.
