LOCAL SINGER/SONGWRITER SPECIAL CONCERT

BrownRandy

Imagine if Charles Darwin met Guy Clark and Van Morrison at an MIT barbecue in honor of Albert Einstein’s birthday and you’ll have some sense of the smartly clever mind and music of BrownRandy. An award-winning East Texas-based singer-songwriter and self-proclaimed “performing philosopher,” BrownRandy accompanies himself on guitar and mandolin when singing his folk-Americana style songs. Rich in down-home imagery, his lyrics delve into such offbeat topics as quantum mechanics, talking to extraterrestrials with a flashlight, and testosterone poisoning.

Dave Sherman

Dave Sherman sings about real life experiences - family, faith, work, winning the Publisher's Clearing House and Duct Tape! Dave walks his audiences through a lifetime of creative writing. He escorts his audiences from Mayberry to see Andy and Barney, to Alaska to witness the Gold Rush and to a hospital corridor to hear a baby girl being born.
Dave’s songs include hard-driving blues and laid-back folk tunes. His songs are wrapped around a voice that is as much a part of the Mississippi Delta as cotton fields and paddle wheels. He has shared the stage with such acts as with The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Blood Sweat & Tears, Livingston Taylor … and Preston.

Heather Little

Heather Little was born in north-central Texas. She grew up all around Austin and Dallas and all the music that thrives there. "I just want to make good music. Whether it's rock or country or blues or earthy acoustic- good music moves people. That's what it's about for me. I write songs about my life and real life things; even the hard stuff. It has to be real. We live real lives. I write real songs about that."
