Richardson’s premier community choir, The Contemporary Chorale, is pleased to invite the public to celebrate “Christmas with the Chorale” at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm on December 9, 2017, at St. Barnabas Presbyterian Church (1220 West Belt Line Road, Richardson).

To honor the rich history of The Contemporary Chorale’s 61 years, and the “tradition” of the holiday season, this year’s program brings back many popular selections from past performances. Under the direction of Artistic Director Melanie Moore, this 60 member mixed chorus will perform such favorites as Coventry Carol, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, Believe, Good King Wenceslas, Sweet Little Jesus Boy, and more, carrying our audience on a meaningful journey from reverence to joyful fun and back again.
“This program will be special to our veteran singers and audience members, as well as those new to The Contemporary Chorale,” commented Moore. “Our repertoire is selected solely for the enjoyment of those hearing it. Come, let us help you get into the Holiday spirit!”
In addition to The Contemporary Chorale, the performance will feature the live accompaniment of collaborative pianist Crysta Jones along with guest musicians Wes Moore, Baritone, and Geoff Golden, Cellist. Choreographer Becky Fudge will stage the performance.
