“Music in the Key of Life!” will blend modern poetry with choral works by Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjeilo, Jake Runestad, Stephen Paulus, Morten Lauridsen, Erik Esenvalds, Kim Andre Arnesen, Craig Hella Johnson, and Billy Joel.
Former State of Texas Poet Laureates Alan Birkelbach and Karla K. Morton will host the performances with readings from their published works. The chorus will perform a new work of Composer In Residence Debra Scroggins that was created in celebration of the chorus’ 45th anniversary. And the newly formed Plano Chamber Chorus will also make its debut.
