Author and former pastor Daniel D. Maurer will share his own personal story of addiction and recovery in “Your Story Is Not Yet Finished.” He will discuss the confusion and misunderstandings that surround addiction and share a spiritual solution that really works. He will demonstrate how the disease of addiction affects not just the one afflicted, but also family, friends and society and how we can respond to a loved one’s addiction. The event is presented by the King of Glory Intersect Speaker Series. Maurer’s books, including Endure: The Power of Spiritual Assets for Resilience to Trauma & Stress and the graphic novels Papa Luther and Sobriety, will be available for purchase and book-signing following the event.
