For over 50 years, Peggy Nichols collected art to adorn the walls of her Dallas home. For her, it was never just about filling a void on a wall; it was about filling her heart with love and mind with joy. Art was a way to lift her spirits and cope with the realities of life after a hard day of work. Art was her escape. It was an emotional investment. A way to get lost in the imagination and worlds of so many artists that she adopted as her extended family.
Her collection, which is comprised of mostly contemporary artists and photographers, unveils incredible moments in history and the risks artists take pursuing their craft. Works from these national and internationally acclaimed artists can be found in museums and galleries around the world. At 76, Peggy Nichols wants to share her collection with others in hopes that they too may see the love and joy that has filled her heart and mind for so many years.
