Malian sculptor Amahigueré Dolo is internationally recognized for creating expressive wood forms and drawings on the crumpled surfaces of re-purposed cement paper. His installation Adouron Bew (Components of the World), 2007, just completed an exhibition at The Menil Collection, his first presentation of work in an American museum and will travel to the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center this fall.
The exhibition will also feature work by Malian artist, Souleymane Ouologuem.
