Adults can learn origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, at the Nicholson Memorial Library System’s seasonal Origami Workshops. The next workshop will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the South Garland Branch Library.
Each workshop will begin with some instruction in paper folding techniques. Participants will then create three pieces of origami based on a seasonal theme. Attendees at the October workshop will make origami foxes, jack-o’-lanterns, and bats. The library will provide all the supplies.
This program is limited to 15 individuals aged 18 and older. Registration is required and begins Oct. 3. Patrons may register for up to two of the four origami events held in 2017. Please be aware that photographs and video may be taken at Library programs for use in print and/or electronic media at the Library’s discretion.
