Grand Prairie will celebrate the annual migration of the monarch butterfly from North America to Central Mexico on Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. at Grand Central, State Highway 161 between Arkansas Lane and Warrior Trail. Remote parking is available to and from the event. This FREE event will include three Monarch butterfly releases at 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm, Petting Zoo, Mater and Lightning McQueen, costume contest, a kid zone with bounce houses, rock climbing, and children crafts; Arts & Crafts vendors, food, and Live music.
