Wylie's Smith Library presents this event designed to steer participants in how to research their heritage. Morning session includes information about library resources and tips for looking into family history. Afternoon breakout sessions include researching African-American, European, or Hispanic ancestry, preserving photos, and more. Opportunity to scan up to 10 family photos or documents per person. Day includes a local history presentation about Stonehaven, a 20th-century bungalow-style house built in 1912 by Collin County architect William Stone for his new bride, Charlotte Howard. Sandra Stone, Wylie Historical Society president, will give the presentation; the society is working with the City of Wylie to restore the home.
