Austin Sparks: Can You Get That To Me By Wednesday?

Ro2 Art is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Denton based painter, Austin Sparks, entitled Can You Get That To Me By Wednesday? The series attempts to illustrate the intricate nature of the human thought process, which is influenced by thousands of varying feelings, judgements, and decisions each day. His paintings are littered with random objects, ghostly shapes, and streaks of abstract color, visually capturing the vast complexity of fleeting thoughts.

The opening reception will take place at The Magnolia Theatre’s Second Floor Bar on Thursday, September 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Can You Get This To Me By Wednesday? will be on view through October 10 at The Magnolia Theatre, located at 3699 McKinney Ave. Ste. 100 / West Village.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
My work is about the thought process. Specifically, my work is about the dysfunctional organization of thought process. Any given day we go through thousands of thoughts ranging from the intellectual to the mundane. My paintings are about trying to grasp those thoughts in the form of an image.
