In September, the Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of David Itkin, will perform Bernstein’s Symphony No. 2 The Age of Anxiety and Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5 with world-renowned pianist Misha Dichter. The UNT Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Moody Performance Hall with world renowned pianist Misha Dichter. 

The program will include Bernstein’s Age of Anxiety, a musical representation of W.H. Auden’s narrative poem of man desperately seeking faith in a seemingly faithless world, and Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, which Prokofiev himself described as “a symphony of the grandeur of the human spirit.”
