Chalk Art Festival

West 7th

LOCATION: Crockett Row at West 7th

Enjoy an afternoon “chalk” full of fun at the 3rd annual Chalk Art Festival! Over the course of the day, attendees will get to see the evolution of elaborate chalk art designs created by talented street painters. Three professional artists will create large signature murals, while amateur artists will compete for the people’s choice award, as well as first, second and third place prizes by creating colorful, intricate designs on the street.

Other family-friendly activities include:

  • Children’s art area – Create your own chalk art masterpiece
  • PoserKids Yoga – Get active with a fun, educational class
  • The Zoomeez performance – A musical wellness program for kids
  • Live music by Texas Soul Beats
  • Amateur artist awards ceremony

Amateur artists interested in participating in the event can learn more and apply at bit.ly/chalkartfest17.

Donations to vote for the people’s choice amateur artist winner will benefit The Art Station, a Fort Worth-based nonprofit organization that offers individual and group art therapy and community programs to children and adults.

Located in Fort Worth’s vibrant Cultural District, Crockett Row supports the local arts scene through events like the Chalk Art Festival and Crockett Creates, in partnership with the Fort Worth Community Arts Center (FWCAC). Crockett Row is also home to ART7, a satellite gallery of the FWCAC, a division of the Arts Council of Fort Worth.
