Carol Trice: Short Story Series

Ro2 Art is pleased to present ‘Short Stories,’ a solo exhibition featuring new works by artist Carol Trice. The show will run from July 20 through August 29, 2017 at 3699 McKinney Avenue, Suite 100 at The West Village in Dallas, Texas.

Carol Trice’s textile paintings evoke a familiar sensation of connectedness, illustrating the intersections and ties that are found in interpersonal relationships. Her bold, thick lines are emblematic of the fleeting and the sometimes intense interactions that people encounter on a regular basis. Her works are made using dense black thread that intersects and laces along with a gridded background. Some of the pieces are methodical while others are disorderly, mimicking the experience of human interaction, whether brief or prolonged. Carol Trice’s pieces are exquisitely representative of daily colloquies.
