Ro2 Art is pleased to present ‘Cups are Emotion,’ a solo exhibition featuring new works by artist Mary Jo Karimnia. The show will run from July 8 through August 16, 2017. There will be an opening reception held Saturday, July 8, from 7-10 p.m. at Ro2 Art, located at 1501 S. Ervay Street in Dallas’ Cedars neighborhood.
Mary Jo Karimnia’s geometric mixed media radiates with vibrant colors that generate feelings of love and loss. She alludes to the tradition of tarot cards to symbolize taking chances regardless of your own fears. Her works are made through tiny glass beads creating an overwhelming sense of mystery that is emblematic of the journey of relationships. Mary Jo Karimnia’s beautiful artistic portrayal of life’s ambiguities is filled with sensations represented by the inevitable disintegration and faltering of the cups.
