Sammons Discovery Presents D'Drum


Sammons Center for the Arts

Masters of more than 75 world percussion instruments, D’Drum is a five-member group renowned for blending music derived from the traditional cultures of Bali, Africa, Persia, and other locales with Western classical and jazz forms to create their own unique acoustic sound. John Bryant, Doug Howard, Jamal Mohamed, Ed Smith, and Ron Snider will fill Meadows Hall with a 75-minute set of remarkable musical works as the next concert in the Sammons Center’s new series of exceptional music experiences.

The concert will be held at the Sammons Center for the Arts, 3630 Harry Hines at Oak Lawn. Tickets cost $45 per person; Sammons members receive a $5 per ticket discount. Admission includes beverages, light appetizers, and valet parking. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; the concert begins at 8:00 p.m. Dress is casual; some people come in business attire, but most wear casual, comfortable clothing.
