The Snyder Family Series of Sammons Cabaret wraps up its fall season with “Holiday Memories” presented by Linda Petty and accompanied by Larry Petty at the piano. Beginning with great songs from Broadway, the musical journey through holiday favorites includes the backgrounds of the singers and songs. Linda has performed in the world premiere of several American operas and with well-known artists like The Carpenters, Nancy Wilson, and Chita Rivera.
Larry is highly sought after as a soloist, musical director, and pianist for events and at venues around the world. Talented and versatile, he has accompanied or played for such names as James Brown, Jennifer Holiday, and Dionne Warwick. He is also a respected music teacher and recording artist with several Grammy nods for his solo CDs.
Tickets to Sammons Cabaret cost $45 per person; Sammons members receive a $5 per ticket discount. Admission includes beverages, light appetizers, and valet parking. Doors to Kurth Hall open at 7:30 p.m.; concerts begin at 8:00 p.m. Each concert features two performance sets of about 40 minutes each with an intermission between. Dress is generally business casual, but some wear cocktail attire.
