In partnership with the Dallas Mexican American Historical League, the LCC will continue its focus on local Mexican American History during Hispanic Heritage Month with a music history exhibit. From dance halls on McKinney Avenue (Little Mexico) in the 1920s to a music studio in downtown for Tejano musicians, Dallas’ Mexican American community has always celebrated the importance of music as an expression of culture. This exhibition will be the fifth local Mexican-American historical program developed by the LCC and the Dallas Mexican American Historical League.
