July 23, Stephen Nielson & Friends Feature Performance: Pianist Stephen Nielson, a Steinway artist, partners with Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) Associate Concertmaster Emeritus Motoi Takeda, violin, and mezzo-soprano Caroline Nielson for an afternoon of varied pieces by Camille Saint-Saëns, Francis Poulenc, Ludwig van Beethoven, Amy Beach, Ralph Vaughn Williams, and Richard Strauss

Rising Star: Daniel Che and Alice Zhang, piano, tackle solos and duets by BeethovenChopin, and Aram Khachaturian. You won’t want to miss the chance to hear Mr. Che, recent grand prize winner of the Fort Worth Symphony Young Artist Competition, before he solos with the FWSO in their 2017-2018 season, and hear his partner on stage Ms. Zhang, a frequent prize winner in regional and state piano competitions.
