Joseph Ives Clock Exhibit

Arlington Convention Center

Starting Thursday, June 29th and running through Saturday, July 1st, an exhibit of clocks by 19th-century clockmaker Joseph Ives will be on display at the Arlington Convention Center.  Ives’ innovative designs, both in case design and movement mechanics, changed the face of the American clock industry.  More than 70 examples of his work are included; many from private collections.

The exhibit is part of the convention of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors being held in Arlington.  Visitors can also see entries from members in the Craft Competition, listen to lectures on clock and watch repair techniques, and see demonstrations.  Admission to the exhibit, craft contest and lectures is free, and membership is available for other activities.

The Arlington Convention Center is located at 1200 Ballpark Way in Arlington.  Hours are Thursday, 1-5; Friday, 9am-5pm; and Saturday, 8am-12 noon.
