Traditional Watercolor

Love the fluidity and transparency of watercolor on paper but are intimidated by the medium? This is the class for you. During this introductory workshop we will learn about painting materials, experiment with paints on paper and review the range of watercolor painting possibilities. We will discuss hard and soft shapes, color intensity, value and texture, along with paper, paints and brushes. The day will include demonstrations, your own investigations and examples of watercolor paintings by a full range of traditional and contemporary painters. You will leave empowered to continue your further explorations with this intriguing painting medium.
