Model Railroad Exhibit

Nicholson Memorial Library System - Central Library

As part of the Adult Summer Reading Program, the Nicholson Memorial Library System will host a model railroad exhibit at the Central Library in July.

The exhibit, co-sponsored by the Spring Creek Model Railroad Club, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8. It will feature a HOn3 narrow gauge layout based in the early 1900s. It measures 16 by 19 feet and showcases a logging industry, an oil boomtown, a mining camp, several town scenes, and a switching yard. Up to three trains can run at once, and the equipment includes passenger, freight, and maintenance trains.

The Central Library is located at 625 Austin St., in Downtown Garland. Please be aware that photographs and video may be taken at Library programs for use in print and/or electronic media at the Library’s discretion.
