Duoc Le comments on the negative effects humans impose on the natural environment through exploration and colonization in his series of whimsically practical gadgets whose purpose, as laid out in his constructed narrative, is to aid in the survival of an expedition crew on a strange planet. The mission from Command is "Project Overkill" and crew members are tasked with designing and fabricating convoluted equipment utilizing parts readily available on the vessel to eradicate the indigenous life forms in an effort to reverse engineer the inner workings of this planet and begin the colonization process for the betterment of humanity. Presented in partial fulfillment of a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Texas.
