Soup Can Masterpieces
(Visual Arts/Drawing & Painting)

Seeing double (quadruple or more !) in this class will be possible, since young artists will be working with a common everyday item or commercial product and repeating it several times in their composition in the style of Andy Warhol and his famous Campbell’s Soup can paintings.

Paisley Pups & Cool Cats: Peter Max Inspired Animals
(Visual Arts/Mixed Media)

Inspired by the style of Peter Max and the colorful, counterculture ‘Summer of Love’ aesthetic, campers will use different techniques including paper-cutting and stamping to add funky patterned motifs to depictions of some of our favorite furry friends.

Putting It All Together: Robert Rauschenberg’s Combines & Collages
(Visual Arts/Mixed Media/2D & 3D)

Inspired by the innovative and experimental techniques artist Robert Rauschenberg used in his collages and “combines” (a hybrid between painting and sculpture), students will create original mixed media compositions that combine objects and images.

Totally Psychedelic with LEGO®
(Visual Art/Design/STEAM)

Campers will work with several LEGO ®builds and activities that deal with optical illusions, plus experiment with tie dye-like effects of spin art.

Zen & the Art of Yoga
(Movement/Physical Fitness)

Improve strength, balance, stamina and focus with yoga poses and breathing techniques as we travel through the ‘60s to contemplate non-violence (Martin Luther King), environmental awareness (Chief Seattle) and meditation (the Beatles).
