Camp Death Productions is a company dedicated to producing scripts written by local Dallas artists, focusing on genre-based themes of sci-fi, fantasy, horror and more. We are pleased to bring to the Margo Jones Theatre “Enter Cthulhu,” our 5th world premiere and 9th mainstage production. “Enter Cthulhu” is a hilarious romp written by Daniel White and directed by Erin Singleton.
A small cult wishes to resurrect the ancient god Cthulhu. The only problem is they first must sacrifice Cthulhu's last heir — a Miskatonic University student with an annoying habit of surviving. A college is suddenly cursed by a mysterious book that is the key to summoning the terrifying ancient monster Cthulhu.
Classic H.P. Lovecraft references combine with horror movie tropes. Think gothic horror tales meets Joss Whedon-style irreverence and fun. This script is hilarious, campy, charming, and rooted in literature.
Starring Evan Figg, Kimmy Mauldin, Bridie Corbett, Janae Hatchett, Madison Armstrong, William Johnson, Trent Lintzen, Gerald Fitzgerald, Paul Lewis, CJ Newman, Cody Jackson, and Savannah Johnson.
Performances will start at 8:15, with matinee performances at 3:00. There will be a pay-what-you-can preview on Thursday, June 15 and a pay-what-you-can Industry Night on Monday, June 26. Reservations for “Enter Cthulhu” can be made at the door, online or by phone.
