Pia Camil’s collective performance calls for the partial dismantling of her massive site-specific installation Divisor Pirata—turning it into a catalyst for interaction. Inspired by Brazilian artist Lygia Pape’s 1968 performance Divisor , the public is invited to navigate the streets of the Design District connected by one of Camil’s fabric works made of reworked t-shirts purchased at secondhand clothing markets in Mexico City.
Join Dallas Contemporary after the performance for an artist talk with Pia Camil.
